As the locality is unknown, the species could easily be another Mellita species. In former years
M. tenuis H.L. Clark 1940 and M. isometra Harold & Telford 1990 have been included in
M. quinquiesperforata for a long time. In 1990 Harold & Telford revised the genus in
dependence of shape and distribution.
